Mariano Sales, the husband of Felipa Galan and the father of Santiago Sales, is the farthest traceable ancestor of the Moalboal Saleses.

     He was most probably born in Cordova, or near it, as records in Moalboal describe him as "originales de Cordova".  He probably had other children, although research as of the moment has shown only Santiago. 

     He most probably died before the end of the nineteenth century in Cordova.
